TECHNART 2015 on art and cultural heritage
TECHNART 2015 Conference on “Non-destructive and microanalytical techniques in art and cultural heritage”
Dear Colleague,
This is the 2nd announcement of the TECHNART 2015 Conference on “Non-destructive and microanalytical techniques in art and cultural heritage” that will take place in Catania (Italy) on 27-30 April 2015 at the Laboratori Nazionali del Sud of the Institute of Nuclear Physics.
The conference is organised by the Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS-INFN), the Institute of Archaeological and Monumental Heritage (IBAM-CNR), the Department of Chemistry of the University of Catania jointly with with the Scientific Research Working Group of ICOM-CC and the Italian Association of Archaeometry (AIAr).
The aim of TECHNART 2015 is to provide a scientific forum to present and promote the use of analytical spectroscopy techniques in the field of cultural heritage. The conference offers an outstanding and unique opportunity for exchanging knowledge on leading edge developments. Cultural heritage studies are interpreted in a broad sense, including pigments, stones, metals, glass, ceramics, chemometrics on artwork studies, resins, fibers, forensic applications in art history, archaeology and conservation science.
A Call for Papers will be issued the September 30, 2014. The deadline for receipt of contributions will be 16 January 2015. A draft programme will be published in March 2015.
