发布日期:2012-04-05浏览次数:929

Dear Colleagues,

The deadline for abstract submission (Tuesday, the 1st of May) to the 22nd International Conference on the Application of Accelerators in Research and Industry (CAARI 2012) to be held August 5 - 10, 2012 in Fort Worth - Texas, is fast approaching!

Please visit our webpage www.caari.com to find information about the format of the abstracts to be submitted online.

You can submit your abstract to any of the following topics:

  • Accelerator Technology (AT)
  • Atomic Physics (AP)
  • Early Career Research (ECR)
  • Ion Beam Analysis (IBA)
  • Ion Beam Modifications (IBM)
  • Medical Applications (MA)
  • NanoScience & Technology (NST)
  • Nuclear-Based Analysis & Energy (NBAE)
  • Nuclear Physics (NP)
  • Radiation Effects & Production (REP)
  • Safety, Security and Contraband Detection (SSCD)
  • Teaching with Accelerators (TA)

To better recognize the important contributions of early career scientists to accelerator-based research and applications, we have sessions connected to each major topic area called "Early Career Research (ECR)". If you are a student or Post-Doc, you now have the option of submitting your abstract to one of the standard sessions pertaining to your research (in which case you will most likely be asked to present a poster) or you can submit it to these sessions, where you will make an oral presentation. All sessions are limited to two hours, so the length of your presentation will depend on the total number of abstracts submitted to the ECR session.

In order to submit an abstract, you will need to create your account and register for the conference. Don’t forget to reserve your hotel room early – we have sold out in past  year!

Also, if you have graduate students in your organization or know of a graduate student who would enjoy attending the conference, there are Conference Assistant opportunities.  Please tell your students to visit www.caari.com/reg/reg.shtml and click on the Conference Assistant Opportunity for more information and to apply.

(If you have already submitted your abstract, we thank you and look forward to seeing you at the conference.)

Looking forward to welcoming you in Ft. Worth, TX!
